I feel that far too often, people are handed a terminal diagnosis and sent home without tools to emotionally navigate extremely difficult times and this gap in care can create a ripple of trauma in a family.

Hi! My name is Cynthia “Cindy” Hall Boroczky, and I am currently a Master of Social Work student with a strong academic foundation in psychology and grief support. I graduated summa cum laude in April 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a concentration in child and adolescent development.

I am currently in my generalist year of internship, meaning I cannot provide therapy. During this time, you may hear from me or see me supporting the practice in various ways. However, I will be accepting clients in my clinical internship later in the year.

My background & approach

What led me to becoming a therapist is that I really wanted to help people who had received a terminal diagnosis process through having conversations with family and friends and also deal with underlying trauma that may rise to the surface when facing the end of life.

I bring a unique perspective to my work through my background in the funeral profession, where I have been a licensed funeral professional since 2020. This experience strengthened my understanding of grief, trauma, and the diverse ways individuals and families respond to loss.

In addition to my academic training, I currently work in a bereavement support role, where I facilitate grief programming and co-lead a grief support group. My approach is client-centered, compassionate, and grounded in respect for each person’s lived experience.  In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband and daughter.
